Feds Say Emo Rap Bares Blame For The Opioid Crisis

Soundcloud rapper Michael Jones (New Jerzey Devil) was arrested earlier this week for distributing a fatal supply of heroin and fentanyl to Diana Haikova, whom he met at a hotel party after attending Lil Peep's Long Island funeral in December of 2017.  She was found dead at her apartment a few days later.

DEA Special Agent James J. Hunt singled out Emo rap and its glorification of drug use in a statement about Jones's arrest.

“This investigation led us into the underbelly of emo rap and its glorification of opioid use,”  Hunt said in a statement.

Lil Peep died after ODing on Xanax and fentanyl. His family has denied any connection between him and Jones, but the photo above suggests there was at least some connection.
