After having a rap career that spans nearly three decades, Fat Joe has reinvented himself.
These days, he's a podcaster and is known for drumming up a lot of controversy. Like, when he compared DaBaby to Tupac Shakur.
This time, the Bronx rapper told a funny story on the I Am Athlete podcast about having to remind his family that he doesn't have boatloads of money like Jay-Z or Diddy.
"You should never lie to yourself. Don't even lie to your family," said Joe. "I tell my wife, I tell my kids, we are not Sean 'P Diddy' Combs or Shawn Carter, Jay-Z. One day my son, he was like nineteen. He's like, 'Yo dad, look at this.' I look at it, he got Dr. Dre son on a private plane ... He's like, 'This is how the sons are moving now.'"
"I was like, 'You ain't f*cking moving,'"added the New York native. "We ain't got that sh*t. So, stop looking at them motherf*ckers and stay the course. Stay in your lane ... a lot of men lose themselves by not trying to keep it real with themselves."
