Fat Joe Explains Why He'll Never Change His Name Despite Huge Weight Loss

by Daryl Nelson

Fat Joe lost 100 pounds by using Ozempic.

He talked about it with L.A. radio host Big Boy, who asked him if he'd ever change his name because of the weight loss.

Joe said it'll never happen, because he and his team did so much to make his rap moniker a household name. [Jump to the 9:40 mark]

"We spent so many millions to this day, millions of millions of millions of dollars," said The Bronx rapper. "When Fat Joe comes out at the World Series, they say, 'Rapper Fat Joe.' Now if they just said, 'Rapper Joe,' you wouldn’t know who the hell that is. We spent all our money pumping up Fat Joe, that even if I slim down even more than this, I gotta be Fat Joe, cause we spent all the money on Fat Joe."

Elsewhere in the interview, Joe called Ozempic "the greatest invention ever" and blasted those who lie about using it.
