Just a day after Kodak Black threw a shot at JAY-Z and '90s Hip Hop, Famous Dex said rap's OGs should be respected.
"It wouldn't be no Dex if if it wasn't no Nas," he said. "If you don't respect the OGs then fuck you. You gotta respect Snoop, Ice Cube. We should get facts right. You gotta respect the Wu-Tang ... Mobb Deep, Redman, Method Man, respect them."
Afterward that, Dex compared the more serious rap songs of old to the more lighthearted ones of new and told people to choose depending on what mood they're in.
"I love this Hip Hop music stuff right now. It's so cool. It's beautiful," he said on Montreality. "And then on top of that, JAY-Z come back with the 4:44 album, come on, the legend coming back out. The new wave is so much of energy, I don't think people got time to even hear a JAY-Z song ... He just grown man on you ... If you want to hear real music, go listen to 4:44, go listen to Damn., go listen to Nas. If you want to be entertained and be hyphy, go listen to me, go listen to Lil Pump, go listen to Uzi, go listen to Carti."
Do you think rap's OGs should be respected more?
