Comedian Faizon Love clearly isn't a Dave East fan, and he continues to speak badly of the Harlem rapper.
In September Love called East a "fake Crip" after East was featured on an MC Eiht song called "Courted In."
"That corny a*s fake crip n*gga. I be like, 'What the f*ck?’ I was so surprised that MC Eiht gave him a stamp. I know MC Eiht official," Love said about East back then.
The stand-up comic spoke about him again, this time during an interview with VladTV, around the 4:00 mark. During the chat, Love agreed with Compton rapper B.G Knocc Out, who in a past interview questioned why Love was so concerned about whether East is a real Crip or not.
“Listen I saw what B.G. said, and I texted him, and I was like ‘n*gga you right,'" said Love. "I’m 52. Why do I give a f*ck if he’s a real Crip or not. But it’s in me, and it’s not on me. I don’t know if you know what that means. It’s a part of our real culture. You can’t just say something. Once you put that out there you’re letting people know. So I’m not your worst guy, your worst problem is a young brother coming up from ESP, a real Blood, catching you and that’s it ... You can’t rap when he comes up. I’m from ESP Piru. What it do? If you banging, that’s what banging is. You don’t aspire to be a gang member. You’re from that set, you grow up, you don’t really grow out of it. It’s always a part of you.”
