Jay-Z has been getting ripped off ever since his company, Roc Nation, and the NFL picked Kendrick Lamar to play the Super Bowl halftime show instead of Lil Wayne.

Boosie Badazz, Cam'ron, Master P, DJ Akademiks, and Nicki Minaj are just some of the people who said Wayne should've gotten the gig since the game is in New Orleans, his hometown.

But Fabolous defended Jay, telling people they should be looking at others regarding the selection process.

At the same time, though, Fab said he understands people's frustration. [Head to the 8:48 mark]

"I do see people blaming it solely on Jay-Z when I don’t think that’s the truth. It's a committee, it's a board. I feel like it’s different people who come into play when decisions like that are made," said Fab on Instagram Live. "I do think it would have been great for Lil Wayne, just because of how much he’s done in the game and how much he’s meant to New Orleans."

"That would have been a great opportunity, but you never know, though. You never know if he’s going to be included, if that was something that was behind the scenes," he added. "But I guess because you name Kendrick, another rapper, it's kind of like a slap in the face, too."

Will Jay ever be able to live this criticism down?
