Malachi Capers, who played football at Buffalo State until suffering a groin injury, is in critical condition after being shot during a confrontation at the 136 Deli & Grill in Queens, New York Monday afternoon
Capers bumped into Jeffrey Thurston while walking down the aisle of bodega. Thurston threw a punch and Capers chased Thurston outside, tackling him. When Thurston was able to free himself from Caper's grasp he stood up and shot Capers in the stomach. The entire incident was caught on camera.
