Run The Jewels performed in the Ready Room in St. Louis just hours after the Grand Jury investigating the shooting death of Michael Brown announced its decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson.
Killer Mike has been outspoken about the incident since we first learned of it, appearing on CNN back in August to talk about the militarization of the police and the "war against the black male."
Last night, Mike opened his set by speaking on the non-indictment.
"We usually come on to Queens’ ‘Champion’, but I gotta tell you today that no matter how much we do it, no matter how much we get shit together, shit comes along that kicks you on your ass, and you don’t feel like a champion,” Mike told the crowd. “Tonight I got kicked on my ass when I listened to that prosecutor. You motherfuckers got me today. I knew it was coming. I knew when [U.S. Attorney General] Eric Holder decided to resign it wasn't going to be good."He want on to say that he feared for the lives of 20 and 12-year old sons. Listen to his words below.
