Corey “Ghost” Holland, a self-described former drug kingpin, has accused 50 Cent and Power executive producer Courtney Kemp of stealing his life story for the popular Starz drama.
So he's suing, asking for the absurd sum of $1 billion.
Holland says his relationship with Kemp goes back to the 90s and alleges Kemp and 50 based over 200 Power scenes on his experiences in the streets.
In Holland's motion, he accuses 50 of bullying him with "subliminal shots." He also claims Fif has had his associates flat-out threaten him.
“[Holland] wants to address this matter now and hopefully have it ceased before someone loses their life. [Holland] wants to keep this fight in the court, but is not afraid in [any] kind of way of other kind of confrontation with anyone,” the motion reads.
The lawsuit doesn't have much of a chance for success. Holland filed it in April of this year. Since the last episode of Power aired in February of 2020, that's past the one-year statute of limitations New York state places on such claims.
