While Drake famously grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, he would spend some of his summers in Memphis, where his dad Dennis Graham lived.
So one could say Memphis is Drake's home in the United States.
As such, he was recently given the keys to the Tenessee city.
However, he won't be taking his It’s All a Blur Tour to Memphis on August 6.
Today Drake canceled the show, claiming logistics.
“Due to the magnitude of the production of the Drake concert, it is logistically impossible to bring the show as designed to the FedExForum on August 6th. Unfortunately, the show is canceled.”
All ticket holders will get full refunds.
Often when artists cancel shows it's because the date hadn't sold well enough to justify the cost of the performance.
That isn't the case here, so maybe it really is logistics.
