Drake Says He's Still On Top And Calls Rap A 'Joke'

by Daryl Nelson

A lot of folks believe Kendrick Lamar knocked Drake off his spot when he questioned his connection to the culture

The OVO rapper pushed back on that in a subtle way.

"The pressure from being on top does more than just make your ears pop," he captioned a photo of himself.

If you notice, Drake is wearing a shirt that says "Rap Is A Joke."

Here's some insight into what that means:

RAP IS A JOKE. Rap is a culture. It’s layers on layers.

Drake’s shirt is from Frank Stacks & L-Money, Cali parody rappers who roast the music industry’s double standards.

Drake being a deep enough Hiphop fan to wear a “Rap is a joke” shirt getting called a culture vulture by Twitter users that has no idea who/what that shirt is referencing is PEAK irony https://t.co/S1i15myEmW
