Yesterday, there was a report that Drake dropped his lawsuit against iHeartMedia because they had documentation that proved they didn't illegally boost Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss "Not Like Us" on behalf of Universal.
"In exchange for documents that showed iHeart did nothing wrong, Drake agreed to drop his petition. No payments were made – by either one of us," said a source.
Some folks are saying the source is iHeartMedia employee Charlamange, who may not be fully aware of what's going on in the boardroom.
This week, Drake updated his motion of discovery on the UMG lawsuit, and it appears he is still arguing that Universal illegally paid iHeart to spin "Not Like Us." In addition to accusing the radio giant of accepting payola from UMG, he included in his filing information about an FCC investigation into iHeart for offering artists who play at their country festival additional radio spins.
