In an interview with Yahoo!'s Chris Haynes, Julius Erving explained why LeBron James doesn't make his first two all-time teams
"He's the guy who has led the charge in terms of super teams," Dr. J said . "He put together a team in Miami. He put a team together in Cleveland as well. And put together a team in Los Angeles. He can pick his own team, I ain't gonna pick him."
Haynes then pointed out there were "super teams" in Erving's era (including some of his Philadelphia squads.)
Erving responded that players didn't pick their teams back then.
