The Super Bowl LVI halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 13 will star Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.
That's if it happens. There is now a chance that COVID could kill the show.
If it does, Dre will be out millions.
The NFL doesn't pay its Super Bowl halftime entertainment and Dre fronted most of the money to pull off the show.
While Dre bought insurance for the event, all event insurance comes with a Communicable Disease Exemption, meaning it doesn't pay out if a pandemic like COVID is responsible for the cancellation.
The good news is the NFL will do anything necessary to make sure the Super Bowl happens -- even if they have to change venues.
