Dr. Dre isn't a licensed medical practitioner. Nor does he hold a Ph.D. degree (or the equivalent) from an academic institution.
Yet he's still one of the most famous "Dr.'s" in the world.
Not famous enough, however, to keep celebrity OBGYN "Doctor Drai" (born Draion M. Burch) from trademarking his professional name.
Dre had opposed Drai's trademark application on grounds that it may confuse people. But a judge just dismissed his case, ruling that there was no confusing a gangsta rapper and producer named Dr. Dre with a real medical doctor and author of the book 20 Things You May Not Know About the Vagina named Doctor Drai.
No word on what Ed Lover's buddy Doctor Dré thinks about all of this.
