Utah Jazz boss Danny Ainge traded his two best players, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, this offseason.
According to Ainge, he dealt his stars because the Jazz players didn't "believe in each other."
Mitchell responded to that and also addressed the rumors that he wanted Gobert out.
“I don’t think we didn’t believe,” Mitchell said. “I said at the end of the season, don’t trade [Rudy Gobert]. Let’s figure this out, let’s do. And that didn’t happen. For him to say that after six months around the team, I disagree. But you know, at the end of the day, that’s his decision.”
Speaking of Ainge's decision, the word is the former two-sport professional athlete dealt Mitchell to Cleveland instead of a sexier location like New York or Miami out of spite.
Anyway, it will be fun when the Cavs play the Jazz this season.
