Crime has certainly been going up in the Chicago.
Yesterday night, newly elected President Donald Trump said he will send in the Feds if the city doesn't get things under control.
If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!

If Trump does make good on his threat it would be unusual: The Tenth Amendment makes the bar for the federal government's involvement in local law enforcement extremely high.
It would also be of questionable logic.
The current rate of violent crime in Chicago is remains lower than it was during the 70s and 90s, and is still half that of more crime-ridden cities like New Orleans, Detroit and St. Louis -- which Trump hasn't threatened with the Feds.
Do you think Trump is genuinely trying to solve the problem of crime in Chicago? Or is he trying to troll the city that the President he replaced is from?
