Childish Gambino was a Grammy winner last night.
His hit "Redbone" took the trophy for Best Traditional R&B Performance.
But there won't be that many more Grammy opportunities for Gambino. That's because Donald Glover will be retiring that alter-ego after one more album. He explained why during a post-Grammy interview.
“I’m real appreciative of this,” Glover said. “And I’m still making another project right now. But I like endings. I think they’re important to progress. I think that if a lot of things had death clauses in them, we wouldn’t have a lot of problems in the world. To be honest. So, I think endings are good ’cause they force things to get better.”
Glover has seen his acting career take off lately. He won a Golden Globe for his dramedy series Atlanta and he'll be playing Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie.
Are you gonna miss Gambino when he's gone?
