'Brooklyn Girls' rapper Charles Hamilton was hot for a minute in 2009.
Hamilton offered Doja some advice on handling fame in a series of since-deleted Tweets.
“Doja, you gotta chill,” he typed. “The whole world is watching and, yes, judging you. Time to grow up. I know. Sucks. But… yeah.," Hamilton typed, tagging Doja. "Also, @dojacat is talking about being on 9th beats. Meaning, she wants to be taken serious (as a spitter). I’m just saying she should take herself more serious. She, like I said, is already rockin’ the world.”
When folks told him to stay in his lane, he told them to chill and claimed he was just trying to help Doja.
“I wasn’t hating on Doja Cat,” he typed. “I’m just asking her to take herself serious. She’s already one of the elite females in music [editor’s note: If that ain’t a red flag]. I don’t want to hear her ridiculed for being silly. Like I was at one point. Y’all can chill out now.”
When Doja finally saw her mentions, she decided to ether poor Charles's existence by claiming she confused him with soul singer Anthony Hamilton.
