Doja Cat found herself in a nice sized controversy when she was accused of being in a racist incel chatroom and making racist jokes. The hashtag #canceldojacat began trending afterward.
The rapper, who has a black South African father and white American mother, apologized for being in the chatroom and using the N-word but denied she was speaking to white supremacists or making racists jokes.
Doja defended the other people in the chatroom Wednesday on Instagram Live and said she's tired of being bullied over the scandal.

"But I just wanted you guys to know, for my fans, if you felt disappointed or embarrassed, I'm sorry. It took me a while to understand what the f*ck was going on. There's young fans who look at me like, 'Oh, if she's saying this word then maybe I should be saying it, too.' No. No. You should not be saying that word, period. And that's what I'm sorry for."
