Young Scooter died last week on his 39th birthday following an incident involving police in Atlanta.
According to reports, cops responded to a 911 call about a dispute involving a weapon at a residence in Atlanta. Scooter and another man fled from the back of the house when officers arrived. Scooter attempted to escape by jumping over fences. During this flight, he sustained what is believed to be a fractured femur. Atlanta Police Lieutenant Andrew Smith stated that officers did not cause the injury and that no shots were fired during the encounter. Officers found Scooter on the other side of a fence, provided aid, and he was transported to Grady Marcus Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
In an interview with Alive11, Orthopedic surgeon Craig Weill explained that in rare cases, a fractured femur will lead to a punctured femoral artery, which can be deadly.
RIP.
