Before passing out, Hughley's speech became labored. His lights went out while he was sitting and his manager was able to grab him before he hit the floor and carried him off stage.
He was placed on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital, where he was held overnight. TMZ is reporting he is awake and doing better this morning. The 57-year-old's collapse is being attributed to an exhausting week of work and travel.
DL Hughley is ok. I just spoke to him.

"It turns out they ran a battery of tests, and I also tested positive for COVID-19, which blew me away," Hughley said. "I was what they call asymptomatic, I didn't have any symptoms, the class symptoms I didn't have."
