DJ Khaled Talks About His Set Being Sabotaged At The Electric Daisy Carnival

by Daryl Nelson

DJ Khaled explained what happened at last week's Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, where he said that his set was sabotaged. He also responded to accusations that he didn't show up on time, and the bad performance was his fault.

"I actually sat backstage for an hour, just sitting there in a chair like this," he told Power 106. "When I got backstage to the part where it's time to perform, they didn't have my turntables. How am I supposed to DJ without my turntables? I use turntables, vinyl, Serrato, they didn't have them. No problem, just get it hooked up."
The Miami DJ added that he wasn't allowed to do a soundcheck and when things went wrong during his set, he was told to wrap things up within 15 minutes.

"Another artist would have been like 'Yo, I'm not performing because it's not right,'" he said. "And to be honest with you, I should have [done] that ... But instead, I heard the fans chanting my name, showing me love. I was like 'Cool, I'm going to go out. At least let me go out in front of the stage, talk to the fans and perform some songs.'"
Who do you think is to blame for the bad set? Do you think Khaled should take any responsibility for any of it?
