There's been a lot of dumping on XXL's Freshman list this year.
Both Lil Skies and Rich The Kid allegedly turned down the honor, and Nav claimed he wouldn't accept it if offered.
DJ Akademiks has also voiced his opposition to the way XXL does things, with his latest attack coming today.
Don’t let all this beefing in hip hop distract us from the fact that the XXL freshman list is rigged & they been pushing back the announcement hoping we forget that there was never a 10th spot to begin with & that sponsors/advertisers dictated who could or couldnt be on the list

In the Tweet, AK suggests the Freshman Class announcement has been delayed to draw attention away from shady, sponsor-influenced practices. Given the last two classes were revealed in mid-June, we are still a couple weeks away from knowing if the list has really been pushed back.
But we do imagine picking a list in the era of #MeToo could be tough, especially since women (and little girl) abusing rappers like Teka$hi 69 and NBA YoungBoy should be top contenders for this year's list.
