The Diplomats are back together. They released the new track "Once Upon A Time" last week and last night they performed with the A$AP Mob at Spotify's Rap Caviar concert in NYC.
Dipset also did some clowning backstage, including their twist on the money phone -- which is a functional phone with money stacked on it.
Money phones became a bone of contention a few months ago after JAY-Z called out the new generation by rapping "You’re on the Gram holding money to your ear, there’s a disconnect / We don’t call that money over here" on his 4:44 album.
Younger artist like Future, Drake and Boosie Badazz pushed back on Hov's warning.
Dipset are more Jay's contemporaries. But given their rocky history this seems like it may have been aimed at Hov.
Earlier this week, the Diplomats announced that they are working on a seven song EP. It doesn't have a release date yet.
