Diddy's been talking about NFL ownership for a while.
Now he has his chance.
Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson is putting his team up for sale amid a sexual and racial harassment scandal. So Diddy jumped on Twitter and announced his intention to buy the team.
He quickly got a co-sign from Panthers fan and b-baller Steph Curry.
But Diddy probably didn't endear himself to the team's fanbase when he talked about what he would do as owner.
First, he botched the team's name. They are the Carolina Panthers, not North Carolina Panthers. Then he said he will sign Colin Kaepernick to the team and give him a shot at starting QB, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the team's current (black) QB Cam Newton won an MVP a couple years ago, has the team at 10-4 this season, and is actually younger than Kaepernick.
Lastly, he spoke about the halftime show, which few real fans care about.
Here's Twitter's reaction to his overtures.
Looking forward to Diddy buying The Panthers, changing the team’s name to The Black Panthers and having a clip of him saying “Take That, Take That” play, every time they score a touchdown.

Diddy gonna have 5 college prospects live in a house and do various athletic competitions while he and Michael Bivins watch to determine who the Panthers will draft with their first pick.

Got the team name wrong.
Threatened Cam Newton job just for Colin Kapernick to play to make a “statement” ....
And doesn’t seem really focused on the big picture...
