It was reported earlier this month that Diddy gave back the publishing to his Bad Boy artists, including the Notorious B.I.G.'s estate, The Lox, Faith Evans, 112, and Ma$e, who he's been beefing with for some time over money and publishing.
However, former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry said the move means nothing because the publishing is worthless these days.
But Diddy said he did it because he's trying to be a better person and businessman. Plus, he brought up calling out the Grammys in 2020 and said that he wanted to make changes within himself.
“When I had went and called out the Grammys, I also had to make sure that I had also looked from within," he said on The Breakfast Club. "So this was actually done two years ago, and it was more of me just evolving as a businessman, a person that really wants change in the world and progress most importantly … It was the right thing to do and it’s the frequency that I’m in."
He talks about the publishing move around the 21:45 mark, which you can see above.
