Last year, Diddy sued GBG USA, the holding company he sold his clothing line Sean John to in 2016, for improperly using his image.
He won't have to worry about that anymore, as Puffy has regained control of Sean John after GBG went bankrupt and was forced to sell off their assets.
Diddy initially tried to buy Sean John back for $3.3 million. But there was a lot of interest in the brand and Puff got bid up to $7.551 million. United Ventures LLC offer of $7.5 million has been deemed the backup-bidder and they will get the company if for some reason The Diddler's bid falls through.
“I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale,” Diddy said in a statement. “Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy.”
Do you think Puff can get Sean John hot again?
