Desus And Mero Explain Why J. Cole Is Trash

Talkshow hosts Desus and Mero have been known to push a "J. Cole is trash" narrative.

They got called out on that during an appearance on The Hot Ones, and here's how they rationalized their hot take as they chowed down on hot wings

"He has dreads now, so he's woke," Mero quips "We can't say he's trash."

"The thing is we still Bronx scumbags, so I'm not really listening to woke music," Desus adds. "I'm listening to music that's probably bringing down black people. I gotta hear a little gunplay, a little misogyny ... So you know, J. Cole is not really my cup of tea."

Desus did concede there are some J. Cole songs he likes. Although he would still prefer a little Blueface.
