Desiinger Got Booed Off The Court In Philly [VIDEO]

by HHL Editors

Desiigner seemed an odd choice to perform at halftime for the 76ers home opener.

That's because he hails from Brooklyn, home of Philly's Atlantic division rival Nets.

But the folks at the Wells Fargo Center were all hyped up on Joel Embiid's NBA debut, so they gave him chance.

When they figured out the 19-year old wasn't really rapping his hit song 'Panda', the crowd began to do what Philly crowds are notorious for.

Desiigner (spelling clearly inspired by Embiid) was lip-syncing his incoherent Panda lyrics @ halftime & got booed off floor. The Philly way pic.twitter.com/YjplKq1wEq

Desiigner getting the Philly cheer wasn't the only notable music news from the Sixers 103-97 loss to OKC.

Sevyn Streeter was scheduled to sing the national anthem, but says team officials nixed her performance because she was wearing a "We matter" shirt.

"I'd say two minutes before we were about to walk out ... the organization told me that I could not wear my shirt while singing the national anthem at their game," the R&B singer told The Hollywood Reporter. "I was never given any kind of dress code. I was never asked beforehand to show my wardrobe."
A member of the dance team sang the anthem instead. She didn't lip sync.
