Derrick Rose was supposed to start at point guard for the New York Knicks tonight.
But when the game started, he was nowhere to be found. The suddenly hapless Knicks lost to New Orleans 110-96, their eighth defeat in their last ten. And when the game ended, the mystery of Rose hadn't been solved.
Sources: There are team officials, teammates and close associates unclear of reason for Derrick Rose's absence for Knicks-Pelicans at MSG.

Rose had been benched in the fourth quarter of the last few games, and some are speculating that's what caused him to go AWOL.
“I’m not going to comment on any of that stuff,” Knicks coach Jeff Hornecek said. “I’m sure when Derrick comes back, if he’s got any comments he’ll comment on that.” “We expect him back, sure,” he added. “It’s just a matter of time.”According to Rose's long time teammate Joakim Noah, Rose is OK.
Joakim Noah says he's spoken to Derrick Rose after the game and that Rose is OK.
But he may have gone back home to Chicago.
There are strong indications that Derrick Rose returned to his hometown of Chicago.
