Derrick Rose Apologizes For Telling His Doubters To Go Kill Themselves

by Daryl Nelson

Derrick Rose told his naysayers to kill themselves, and he's since apologized for it.

The 30-year-old was speaking to reporters about the Minnesota Timberwolves firing their head coach Tom Thibodeau recently, and how Thibodeau gave him a chance when no other teams would.

Rose has been playing extremely well lately and has seemingly found a true home in Minnesota after having unsuccessful stints with the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

"He was the only coach that believed in me," said Rose."No teams were looking for me at all. I was basically out the league. Even coming here, everyone didn't know I would play this way ... But to everybody that think that it's gonna stop, kill yourself."

It didn't take long for the point guard to say he was sorry for the words he used.

"I messed up by using the slang term 'kill yourself' today in response to a question about whether I can continue to perform without coach Thibs," Rose tweeted. "I did not mean it literally and regret using it so I apologize."

Why do you think Rose is playing so much better all of a sudden?
