Denzel Washington Whips Out Jay-Z Impersonation

by HHL JT

Denzel Washington is riding high this week, after The Equalizer won the box office with a $35 million opening. For his next project ... maybe a Jay-Z biopic.

During an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show, Washington told a story about how he met Jay-Z when the Roc-A-Fella rapper was in the studio with Lenny Kravitz. Denzel then proceed to whip out a pitch perfect impersonation of Jay's laugh and speaking style.

Washington's imitation begins about halfway through the clip. In the first part, Washington talks about another connection he has to the Hip Hop world. The 59-year old grew up in Mt. Vernon, New York with Ludacris father. In fact, he was so close to Luda's pops that the two once donned wigs and won a talent show as the Beatles.

Maybe one day we will get to hear Denzel's John Lennon impersonation. But, for now, how would you compare Denzel's Jay-Z's to SNL comic Jay Pharoah's famous imitation?
