Denzel Curry Goes Off After Grammy Snub, Says Hip Hop Is Being Disrespected

Denzel Curry's album Melt My Eyez See Your Future is a solid effort and it wouldn't have been surprising if it received a Grammy nod. But that didn't happen after the nominations were announced on Tuesday.

So, Curry hit up Twitter to express his frustration, while also saying the nominating committee doesn't care about the culture. The Florida rapper did congratulate people like Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, and GloRilla, though, since they all received nominations.

"Glo Rilla Deserves it," tweeted Curry, who once said he didn't like Drake's Certified Lover Boy LP and Kanye West's Donda album. "But For The Rap Album Category I can literally Name you 10 other albums that were actually good congrats to kdot and push but all that other sh*t come on bruh ... This shi*t bout money at the end of the day so if that’s what it comes down to I’m going get my bread up ... In the words of the Late Great Kimbo Slice. Man lemme get ma bread."

"My Album literally tied with one of the albums that was nominated for a Grammy and I still got robbed," he added. "All my homies that came out with Top Notch solid albums this Year Got Robbed ... They don’t care about the culture. They only care about building the majors."
