Dave East Turns Himself In On Assault Charge

Dave East and his crew got into a fight after a New York City yacht party back in July. Today, he turned himself into police on an assault charge stemming from the incident.

During the melee, East alleged punched 28-year-old Joel Rosario, leaving his left eye bloody. Rosario told the cops he had no idea why he was attacked and has no idea who Dave East is.

It was police who had IDed the rapper after seeing a video of the incident. 

East was charged with misdemeanor assault and was released. He has a court date in December.

 "We appeared as requested at the police precinct and we look forward to reviewing the criminal court complaint and investigating. My client is an absolute gentleman," said East's lawyer, Stacey Richmond.
