It's been a tough month for Dave East.
He lost his good friend Kiing Shooter to COVID-19 a few weeks ago and just had a run-in with police. Recent video footage showed the Harlem rapper being placed in handcuffs.
NBC News reports that East was in the backseat of a vehicle that was pulled over because the driver failed to signal. The driver didn't receive a ticket, but it's been said the rapper argued with police. They found 12 bags of weed in the car, so he and another passenger were brought to the precinct, then given summonses.
The video shows East being shoved around by police, and people screaming that he was being harassed. He then posted the footage to Instagram and wrote this:
"REST IN PARADISE SHOOTER SH*T DONT STOP F*CC NYPD TILL I SEE U AGAIN," he wrote.
It seems that things could have been a lot worse for East, considering he just received a summons.
