Dave East used to sip lean, like many a rapper before him.
But he put an end to the habit after a discussion with his doctor.

"I had a lean addiction for maybe like 3 years," he said. " You know what started to f*ck with me, the cramps. I had a doctor explain this to me. I dries your intestines up. It dehydrates your body. You mde thirsty. When you sip lean you want mad water You wake up thirsty. It dry your body out That used to scare me cause I could be chilling, sipping, go to sleep -- and wake with the sh*t that'll put me on the floor. Get out of bed and balled up in real pain," East said. "And I went through that getting off the sh*t, so in my mind while that was happening, I go 'if this is the pain I'm going to feel every time I don't got this sh*t, I can't f*ck with this sh*t.
East went on to say his dealer dying and his daughter being born also helped him kick the habit.
