Dark Lo is in the feds after he intimidated a witness in the AR-AB and OBH case.
The Philly rapper was sentenced to seven and a half years, but according to his fiance Camellia "Ms Mango" Boyd, he may not make it through his full sentence.
Camellia says that Covid-19 is running rampant in prisons, and that Lo is battling stage 4 renal disease, HBP, and type 2 diabetes.
She says he currently has blood clots in his lungs, has had multiple strokes and seizures, but the prison medical team doesn't get him the help he needs.
She is asking for help and money via her GoFundMe, which you can view here.
Hi, my name is Camellia aka Ms Mango, and I’m fundraising for my severely sick and amazing fiancé to come back home and be a part of our world again ❤ Compassion by definition is “sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it”, yet HUNDREDS of BOP inmates have already DIED while awaiting their compassionate releases to even be considered by the government! Since the beginning of the pandemic, well over 10,000 inmates asked for a compassionate release, as the deadly coronavirus spread thru prisons across the nation, leaving loved ones fighting for their birth rights, well being, liberty and justice, at our expense.. instead they’re housed like slaves, with no social distancing, no proper health care, even in so-called medical facilities; under 200 were approved.
Thousands weren’t even responded to, time and time again the only way a victory was won was by taking the matter to court in search of Compassion. Surrounded by child molesters and violent offenders, things appear grim, after almost dying recently to covid contracted in custody, almost a month in the ICU, while battling stage 4 renal disease, HBP, and type 2 diabetes, my beloved is left with blood clots in his lungs, repeated strokes, and ignored seizures; has spent repeated stints in “medical isolation”- he sleeps on a floor in a cage, with no heat in the middle of a frigid winter, no basic self care items, and forced to a diet that is directly against what the doctor & holistic healers suggest to keep this man alive.
Our only hope now is the compassion in the hearts of the public. We believe The Creator works in mysterious ways. The system is NOT upholding the definition of compassion, instead blatantly turning a blind eye to us! Solitary confinement is their “solution” which leads to disordered thinking, heightens the risk of suicidal thoughts, & life long psychological damages. Charles, better known affectionately across the globe as artist “Dark Lo” is a civically engaged lyricist & modern day poet, a revolutionary Hip Hop musician, & father of 3. His sentence: 7 ½ years for a NONVIOLENT offense: writing a letter to a long time friend whom he considered a little brother; the emotions of a hurt individual caught in the midst of a sticky situation between a big brother figure and a protege.
Dark Lo was accused of threatening the guy, when in reality he didn’t! Family, his health is quickly declining. Perhaps he can learn that while he’s faced defeat due to the system's grandiose lack of compassion & equality, there may be CARING INDIVIDUALS in the world we share, who see donating and sharing this campaign as a chance to make a difference in Life. He since wrote a letter apologizing to his former friend, and, after all haven’t we all said something that we had to later apologize for? LL Cool J and J LO told us that, “don’t make decisions when you’re mad”, and Charles is ‘All I Have’...
He’s dedicated his life to making a positive impact on the world through the ARTS. He came from nothing & turned it into something through songs; inspiring & uplifting so many who share that same story, who look to him as an example of astounding creativity & transformation! Against many odds, he turned to GOD, overcame so much evil around him, transmuting his pain into passion. He’s been painted as a criminal, when his actual factual story clearly says otherwise. He’s a compassionate person, and a generous giver, who makes us laugh, think, and heal thru his music. So I ask you, how is it that murderers can take an innocent life & walk away in 2 years, or the rich just pay a fine… yet my beloved man has already served OVER 2 years including house arrest, for a LETTER, and still faces 5 years in a cell?
Could there be a more constructive, ethical AND productive way for him to pay this forward? Or should he potentially die there in the name of the law? Wow. I think we can all agree that the system overlooks these sorts of things, wielding it’s authority in a blatantly unjust & unbalanced way.
Help us restore this cherished warrior’s hope, well-being & chance to continue PASSIONATELY giving back to the world. We believe we have an attorney waiting in the wings who can represent us, and bring us to the hands of justice. Please help us bring my life partner and best-friend home safely. With Love & Gratitude,
