When Tony Ferguson fights Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 on April 7 it will be for the undisputed lightweight title.

Which means Conor McGregor will be stripped of his belt by UFC boss Dana White

"I said in the press conference that fight will be for the title," White confirmed to TMZ."It is not for the interim title that fight is for the title."

As for how McGregor feels about his belt being taken ...

"Conor understand. Conor made a lot of money. He wants some time off. But the division has to go on and the business has to go on" White said.

White also addressed the rumors of a Floyd Mayweather-Mcgregor rematch, this time in the octagon.

"The only way a rematch makes sense is that fight is in the UFC," White said.

He went on to confirmed the two sides are talking. But he seemed skeptical there would be a deal anytime soon.

"Anything is possible, I just don't think Floyd needs the money now."
