Damon Dash didn't like that Lyor Cohen dissed him, and he let him know about it.
On Wednesday Cohen stopped by The Breakfast Club. Eventually, Dame's name came up. Cohen and Dame worked together when Cohen was the president of Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella was a Def Jam imprint. But these days, Lyor refueses to acknowledge Dash.
"Who’s Dame Dash?" asked Cohen. "You brought him up, I don't even know him. I really don't."
Afterward, Dame hit back and accused Cohen of making money off him, then trying to erase his name from music history.
"Thanks for this Liar Cohen, for proving my point in true culture vulture form," he wrote. "They make money off us and then try to erase our true history and act like the real ones never existed. Not gonna happen, bro. I benched you for the culture. Enjoy your desk job at YouTube. Your going down in history for who you really are. I made sure of that ... He pays his bills at the expense of us. Big question, why can't he sell any rock music? Why can't he eat with is own culture? Stop fronting on my people like you mean something. Your own culture laughs at you."
Meanwhile, there's no word on whether Damon got his $2 million back from Lee Daniels. If you remember, he approached the filmmaker over a $2 million debt that was owed to him and Daniels eventually said he'd pay him.
But it doesn't look like the issues between Damon and Cohen will be resolved so easily. You can see what Cohen had to say about him below, as well as Damon's comments.
