Joel Embiid and James Harden went out sad this postseason with pathetic performances in the Sixers' Game 7 loss to Boston in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
After the game, Embiid expressed the opinion that he and Harden couldn't do it alone.
“Me and James, we can't win alone. That's why basketball is played 5-on-5. We need everybody to find ways to be better," Embiid said.
While his comments sound a little better in their full context, they were still highly questionable when the MVPs played so poorly and when Boston's duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown almost outscored Philly by themselves.
Damian Lillard -- who knows something about talking to the press after a playoff disappointment -- was baffled by Embiid's words.
