If The Notorious B.I.G. wasn't gunned down a little over 20 years ago, he would have joined Jay Z and Dame Dash at Roc-A-Fella Records.
At least according to Dame Dash, who laid out the Big-to-Roc scenario in an interview with Hip Hop Motivation.
“Biggie’s plan was give Puff and [Bad Boy] like three more albums because that 's whatever his deal was and then come sign with us, and we was going do The Commission [with Jay Z],” Dame explains. “That was what was gonna happen. He was going to come to work with us. Or at least that’s what was talked about very seriously. I think that’s why he did a double album. He was gonna do a triple album, and he was gonna be out his contract, and then he was gonna come fuck with us.”Dame Dash has a history of saying outlandish things. But do you buy his talk on Biggie's intention, which begins at about the five minute mark?
