DaBaby has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery in the beating of a man whose home he rented and then shot an unauthorized music video.
He won't receive any jail time.
Prosecutors agreed to the plea because they were having trouble proving the victim, 66-year-old Gary Pager, suffered from a serious bodily injury when DaBaby sucker punched him.
Gary Pagar had rented his Runyon Canyon, California vacation home to DaBaby in December of 2020. The NC rapper was told to limit guests to 12 to obey COVID protocols and that there was a condition in the lease that prevented the home from being used for commercial purposes.
When Pager learned Dababy was shooting a music video, he came to the property to shut it down. DaBaby and his crew then jumped Pager, an assault confirmed on video.
Pager is also suing DaBaby.
