If you don't pay what's owed, the debt will only increase.
Just ask Da Brat who now has to pay an extra $1.3 million to Shayla Stevens, a woman she injured in 2007 by hitting her in the face with a bottle at a nightclub in Atlanta.
After being sentenced to three years in prison and seven years probation for the incident, the rapper was hit with a $6.4 million judgment, which she hasn't paid yet. So now the 43-year old has to pay over a million in interest for a total of $7.7 million.
Stevens — who's a former NFL cheerleader — received permanent scarring after being struck, as well as neurological damage. Although the case has gone through the Georgia court system, the victim has recently filed documents in California in an attempt to get some of Da Brat's assets there.
Do you think Stevens will see any money at all, or will all of this be a lost cause?
