Conway The Machine and Funk Flex were beefing for a couple of weeks after the Griselda rapper called Flex a "gatekeeper."
The New York DJ responded by saying that Conway had every chance to be mega successful and shouldn't complain if he isn't where he wants to be.
But the tension is now over after Flex sent Conway the “Nobody Beats the Biz” instrumental to rhyme over in honor of veteran radio programmer Steve Smith, who died on July 7 of this year.
Flex then played the freestyle on Hot 97 Thursday, July 21.
“Last week me and Conway had some words," said Flex on YouTube, according to HipHopDX. "I sent him a track, he accepted the challenge and here we are. Rest in peace to Steve Smith. I thought it was right to name it that since Steve Smith was the creator of the all day Hip Hop format and this freestyle is Hip Hop."
So it's possible that Flex will now be playing Griselda music after saying their stuff isn't his cup of tea.
