Earlier this month, Donald Trump's Attorney General Bob Barr fired United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey Berman.
Many Trump critics believe the President told Barr to fire Berman because he had the goods on Trump, a member of Trump's family, or a Trump ally, specifically former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.
While that remains to be seen, the axing of Berman could benefit the Tr3yways that Tekahsi 6ix9ine helped put away.
Berman, who prosecuted the Nine Treys, had signed off on 6ix9ine's early COVID release earlier this year but wouldn't do the same for the other gang members.
Now that Berman is gone, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, Jensel "Ish" Butler and Anthony Ellison have each filed new petitions to Judge Paul Engelmayer for compassionate release in hope Berman's replacement will be more forgiving.
If they do get out, is 6ix9ine gonna need even more security?
