Consequence & Talib Kweli Beef Online Over Kanye West

Consequence and Talib Kweli have been longtime friends with Kanye West. But from the outside looking in, Kweli's relationship with Ye has been strained since The College Dropout rapper dissed him on Drink Champs in 2021.

Meanwhile, Cons is still close with Ye and said he still supports him as he's in hot water over his many anti-Semitic rants.

On Wednesday, October 26, Consequence and Kweli began beefing over whether to support Ye or not and shots were thrown online. 

First, Kwa seemed to criticize Consequence's support by copy and pasting a Billboard article that showed Yasiin Bey, aka, Mos Def sporting a "White Lives Matter" shirt. But the V was covered up so the shirt spelled "White Lies Matter."

"This clown ass n*gga Talib Kweli writing Encyclopedias in my comment section on IG," Consequence responded. "Talib Kweli F R I E D 🥡🥡🥡 ... N*gga mad about YE interview on @drinkchamps ... Was at Chris Rock + Dave Chappelle telling me he don't want No Smoke with YE but then wanna be an Internet Thug in the comments. Maybe that's what got you Banned from Twitter dummy."

Cons then said Kweli wanted to interview him on his People's Party podcast, which the Black Star rapper responded to.

“Let’s be clear. I’m not scared of you at all. Nobody is,” Kweli wrote. “Now to be even more clear, I didn’t approve this ask because I have no desire to interview at all. I didn’t ask anyone to email you and frankly I’m upset that my team sent this email because you are not welcome on my show ... Your own queens people don’t f*ck with you. Me having you on my show would have me looking sus. Speaking of sus, why have you failed to call out @kanyewest anti black nazi ass rhetoric?”
