Now that Meek Mill is a free man and has plans to help others who've been wrongfully imprisoned, Public Enemy's Chuck D said he needs to make music with bigger messages.
The way Chuck sees it, the Philly rapper is in a different position now and has the chance to make a lot of positive change.
"I don't like when people say 'Oh, I lose my core audience, because if I go the way of saying something positive people won't go that way, and I just think that's the biggest piece of bullshit that a record company can ever tell an artist," said Chuck. "When you come for the people, you speak for the people, and it shouldn't be measured by the dollars and cents that they're throwing at you."
What if Meek did what Chuck said and became more of a conscious rapper? Do you think he would lose a lot of his fans or would they come with him?
