Chrisette Michele Asks Why She Was Canceled For Working With Trump But Kanye Wasn't

Soul singer Chrisette Michele had a decent career going for herself until she was pretty much canceled for singing at Donald Trump's inauguration in 2017.

One Twitter user brought up that Kanye West wasn't canceled even though he openly supported Trump, sported a MAGA hat and ran for president, possibly to take away votes from Joe Biden.

Michele eventually joined the conversation and agreed with the Twitter user.

"Being compared to Kanye & Travis [Greene] for the last 5 years. Watching them soar into the highest realms of stardom. Waiting on Gods hand to show me exactly what my story will look like," she wrote in part. "I think most of the comments are well intended and I’m not really attached to the results of the conversation. But it is an interesting topic.
