Chris Rock has been busy promoting his new movie 'Top Five' which hits theaters December 12. In the film, Rock's character lists his top five rappers of all-time. They are Jay-Z, Nas, Scarface, Rakim and Biggie in that order.
However, the real Chris Rock has a different top five. As he told MTV, Jay-Z is still number one. But he is followed by Kanye West, KRS-One, Scarface and Ice Cube. (He also mentioned Drake, who Rock said would be in the top five of the moment, but not all-time.)
Rock added that Kanye is the "the most interesting guy to ever pick up a mic, and that West has the opportunity to eventually pass Hov for Hip Hop supremacy. (Of course he won't be able to if he ditches music for fashion.)
Interestingly, both West and Jay-Z are executive producers for 'Top Five.' Watch Rock breakdown his picks in the video below. Who are your top five?
